  2. Just dropped by to say hello and thank you for noting my humble efforts to keep Holling Clancy Holling's work alive and in the public's eye. (Yes, I did get an e-mail from Joan Hoffman in Michigan, USA, mentioning your interest.)

Love your art, but then, that's also what fascinated me with HCH, Robert Lawson, and N.C. Wyeth. Does that betry a personality overly concerned with detail? So be it.

    Best Regards,

  3. Hey Walt

Thanks for your reply. and thanks for checking on my blog, I've published your comment.
I will post my story of my Holling C Holling experiences on my art blog as well as my outrigger canoe blog.
I'm very grateful to you for leaving us a trace of the work that Holling and Lucille left for us to find.
As you will know by now HCH was a massive influence in my life.

I'm in awe of the power of words and pictures!

I've been living on the brink of poverty my whole life so I thought I might have a go at writing a series of children's story books.
Arty farty, Musical, oy vey! Why didn't God give me the genes to be a doctor or a dentist?

    Ah well such is life.

    Best

    Harmen R Hielkema
